Mr. George Gean

October 17, 1929 — February 17, 2018

Mr. George Lavern Gean of Mt. Morris Twp. MI, passed away early Saturday morning February 17, 2018 while at the McLaren Medical Center of Flint, MI George was 88.


George was born in Flint, MI on October 17, 1929; and was the son of the late Harry and Stella (Hufford) Gean. On November 3, 1951 George married Miss Kathleen Draper, and together they have celebrated 66 years of marriage. George retired from the Operating Engineers Local 324. He was also a member of the Clio Church of Christ, where he served as an Elder for many years, George was also a member of the Millington Masonic Lodge #470 F&AM;


George leaves his wife; Kathleen. He leaves also six children; Cindy & David Jaruzel, Pamela & Kale Saylor, Timothy & Sue Gean, Kathy & Mike Kern, Roger & Roni Jo Gean, and Steve Gean. George leaves also; 12 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, seven siblings, and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Besides his parents, George was preceded in death by a daughter Rosemarie.


The Gean family has honored George’s wish and cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday February 21, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Clio Church of Christ, located at; 219 New Street Clio, MI 48423. Memorial gifts of remembrance can be directed to the Clio Church of Christ, or to a charity of one’s choice.
