Mr. Gary Bates Sr

Gary L. (Red)Bates Sr. of the Millington and Vassar area passed away Tuesday February 26, 2013 while at St. Mary's of Michigan in Saginaw MI Gary was 69.

Gary was the son the late Millard (Tim) and Lillian (Coon) Bates and was born in Durand MI on March 29,1943. In March of 1974 Gary married Jeane Annette Dowdy, and together Annette and Gary have celebrated 39 years of marriage. Gary retired from General Motors Fisher Body working many years as a mill-wright. Gary was also a Charter Member of Grand Blanc Moose Lodge # 2344.

Gary leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Annette,children Jeanne Bates her fiancee Larry Greer, Danny & wife Holly Bates, Beverly Bates, Shawn Bates, Tim & wife Stacey Bates, Gary L. Bates Jr. Gary also leaves his grandchildren,and other extended family and friends. Besides is parents Gary is also preceded in death by a brother Leonard, and a sister Pam.
