Mr. Frank Parker

Mr. Frank Jay Parker of Vassar, Michigan passed away suddenly early Thursday evening February 25, 2016 at his residence, Frank was 70.


Jay was the son the late George and Maxine (Clark) Parker, and was born on January 27, 1946 in Pontiac, Michigan. Jay served our country in the US- Air Force during the Vietnam War.


On August 23, 1968 Jay married his wife of 47 years Miss Sandra Williams. Jay retired from Crete Carrier Trucking after 18 years of service and employment. He was attending the Life Line Victory Center Church in Vassar, Michigan; and was a supporter and contributor to the Wounded Warriors Association.


Jay leaves to cherish his wonderful memories, his wife Sandy. He leaves also five daughters and four sons in-law; Lacy and Eric Gawne, Lisa and Lance Heinlein, Lana and Patrick Garvin, Lindsey and Lenny Corliss, and Leah Parker. Jay leaves his grandchildren; Nick, Natalya, Sam, Lily, Garrett, Taylor, Brayden, and Leo also; three brothers, Mark, Shawn, and Scott Parker, two sisters; Cheryl Vanschoick, Cathy Hewitt and several nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Besides his parents Jay is preceded in death by a son in-law Brad Rittenberg.


The family has honored Jay's request and cremation has taken place. The family will celebrate Jay’s life on Tuesday March 1, 2016 at 3:00 pm at the Life Line Victory Center (800 S. State Road Vassar, MI 48768) with Military Honors concluding the services. The Parker family will receive friends at the church beginning at 2:00 pm. Memorial gifts of remembrance can be directed to the Brad Rittenberg Scholarship Fund.
