Mr. Eldon Prosch

Mr. Eldon G. Prosch of the Otisville and Millington, MI area passed away Sunday, August 5, 2018 surrounded by his wife, children, and grandchildren. Eldon was 74.

Eldon was born in Flint, Michigan on November 28, 1943 and was the son of the late Harold and Joyce (Vining) Prosch. On March 20, 1965, Eldon married his high school sweetheart, Diane Lewis.  They shared 53 years of marriage together. Eldon retired after 30 years of service as a machine repairman with Buick Motor Division of General Motors and as a member of the UAW Local 599. His greatest joy came from sharing his love of the outdoors with his children and grandchildren.  He loved fishing, hunting, working outdoors, watching his grandchildren's sporting events and spending time at the family property up north. He also enjoyed the fellowship of his church, the Pine View Mennonite Church, and the company at his local coffee shop, McPhersons.

Eldon's legacy will carry on through his wife, Diane, his two daughters and son in-laws, Susan (Brent) Atkerson and Sherri (Rick) Bonner, his six grandchildren, Jake, Kaleb, Mitchell, Kevin, Carly (Colt), and Lauren, and a great-granddaughter, Adalynn. Eldon also leaves two sisters and one brother in-law, Phyllis (Dan) Cupal and Virginia Dail, many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

The Prosch family will receive friends at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington, Mi on Thursday from 3:00 pm to 7:00pm. Eldon will lie in state at the Pine View Mennonite Church on Friday from 9:00 am until the services begin. Funeral Services for Eldon will be on Friday morning August, 10, 2018 at 10:00 am at the church. Pastor Roger Hazen will deliver the funeral message and the eulogy. A private burial will take place at the Flint Memorial Park Cemetery in Mt. Morris, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts of remembrance can be directed to the Pine View Mennonite Church.
