Mr. Charles E. Kroll of Millington, passed away early Friday morning while at the Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc MI, Charles was 77.
Charles E. Kroll was the son of the late Henry & Laura (Stewart) Kroll and was born in Flint Michigan on March 26, 1935. On June the 9th of 1956 Charles married Miss Elinor Forsyth, and together Charles and Elinor have celebrated 56 years of marriage. Charles served from 1957 to 1960 in the US Air Force. After he was discharged from the Air Force Charles went to work as a Civil Service Employee then working for the US Air Force as an Aeronautical Test Engineer. Charles worked at the Edwards Air Force Base in California, and retired in 1990 from the Hill Air Force Base in Utah. Education was very a important part of Charles life as he has received several Masters Degrees. His true passion in life was his family and being a part of all of their lives in many ways.
Charles leaves his wife Elinor, four children and their spouses, Charles & LeeAndra Kroll, Jacquelyn & Kevin Petzold, Kirsten & Jeffrey Platt, and Darwin & Charlotte Kroll, ten grandchildren and their spouse, Kristy & Will Province, Charles Kroll, Calvin & Dana Kroll, Sterling & Melissa Kroll, Stephanie & Andrew Long, Heidi Petzold, Brittany & Matthew Holden, Luke Platt and special friend Emily Doyle, Darwin Kroll, Erika Kroll, and 10 great-grandchildren, as well nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

In keeping with Charles wishes cremation has taken place. On March 29, 2013 (Friday)Charles ashes will be placed with full Military Honors at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI.
