Charles K. Dooley passed from our world into God's Kingdom with his family at his side, on Saturday January 9, 2016. Charles was 75.
Charles Keith Dooley was born on May 18, 1940 to Charles Abner and Elsie Dooley in Marfork, West Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Deloris Anne LeVasseaur and brother Anthony Skipper.
He is survived by his high school sweetheart and adoring wife of 56 years, Mary Jeanette Dooley. He is also survived by his daughters and sons in law Thomas and Robin Dooley Irwin and John and Michelle Dooley VanOosten. He leaves behind four granddaughters, one grandson, and one great grand-daughter. He also leaves behind his brothers and sisters in law Jerry LeVassear, Larry and Brenda Messenger, Jacqueline and Jan Babisewski and Bonnie Skipper. He will be greatly missed by several nieces and nephews and his friends Steve and Sherry Fitch, Bob Sebert and his brothers and sisters in Christ at Otisville Church of Christ.
He was a First Class Petty Officer on the USS Sartatoga from 1960-64 where he received his training as an electrician during the Cuban Crisis. He worked for General Motors as an electrician at Buick and AC Delco for 37 years. He enjoyed computers and technology, boating, archery and collecting and building firearms.
The family would like to invite friends and neighbors to a celebration of Charles life at 1:00 pm Saturday January 16, 2016 at the Otisville Church of Christ.
There will be no services at the funeral home. Hanlin Funeral Home has been assisting the family with the arrangements.
