Mary Griffith

Mary J. (Harper) Griffith of Millington (formerly of Vassar) passed away on August 12, 2013.

She is survived by her children Mike (Meg) Harper of Vassar, Margaret (Dick) Bentley of Vassar, Ellie (Jim) Hollamon of Oregon, Jim (Sherry) Harper of Vassar, Mary (Mark) Gregorich of Nevada, Tom (Katie) Harper of Nevada, John (Nadia) Harper of Nevada, Jon (Nancy) Griffith of Millington, Jill (Kirk)Hinkley of Washington Jim (Mary) Griffith of Missouri, 24 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She also left behind countless friends who will miss her at the card table. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Griffith. Mary enjoyed watching her beloved Tigers, playing cards, and sharing pictures of her children and grandchildren. But what she loved most was spending time with her family and dear friends. If you could measure a person's value by the number of people who loved them, our mother was the richest person who ever lived.

A funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday August 16, 2013 at the St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church in Vassar. the burial followed at the Millington Township Cemetery. Fr. John Edder celebrated the Mass and gave the closing prayers at the cemetery.
