Leon Baldwin

Mr. Leon H. Baldwin of Saginaw, MI formerly of Tuscola, MI passed away Wednesday May 1, 2019. Leon was 92.

Leon Baldwin was born on October 12, 1926 in Tuscola, MI. Leon was the son of the late Albert and Caroline Baldwin. Leon attended and graduated from Vassar High School in 1944. After High School he enlisted in the United States Army and served in World War II. Leon was married to Betty Baldwin from October 1946 until her time of passing in August of 1999. Later in life Leon married Mary Criswell until the time of her passing in 2016.  Leon was known to always be wearing his blue Detroit Lions hat and he would say that it kept his head warm. Leon also enjoyed spending time with all his family and friends. Leon will be dearly missed.

Leon leaves to cherish his memory his two daughters; Linda (Darrell) Falconer, and Patricia (Randall) Smith. Four Grandchildren; Rachel (Dolphie) Eisenlohr, Robert Sherman Jr., Melissa (Charles) Mulligan, and Andrea (Eric) Jamrog. He leaves also 9 great grandchildren. He leaves brother; Jim (Barb) Shoens. Leon also leaves several nieces and nephews and extended family.  Leon is preceded in death by; first wife Betty Baldwin, and his second wife Mary Criswell-Baldwin. Son; Lee Baldwin and Daughter; Marilyn Baldwin. Three brothers; Welcome, Charles Baldwin, and Harrison Shoens.

The Baldwin family will receive friends and family at the Tuscola Community Church [8956 Church St. Vassar, MI 48768 ] on Sunday May 5, 2019 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm with a Memorial Service in his honor starting at 2:00pm. The family has honored Leon’s request and cremation has taken place.  In lieu of flowers the family has asked that you consider a Memorial Gift of Remembrance to The Tuscola Community Church or a charity of your choice.  Hanlin Funeral Home has been assisting the Baldwin Family.
