Lawrence “Skip” Wagner passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2020. He went to Heaven on the same date he was brought into this world. He was 80.
Lawrence was born on April 1, 1940 to the late Russell and Leone Wagner. Skip enjoyed camping, volunteering for the National Park System, and hosting family and friends at “Fire Ridge Lodge.” He was a loving husband to Joy for nearly 59 years and was the proud grandpa of eight grandchildren and great-grandchild.
Lawrence leaves to cherish his memory, Daughter Tracey (Wagner) and Steve Prokos, Daughter Kim (Wagner) and Rick Gamet, Daughter Deb (Wagner) and Jeff Tyson, Son Larry Wagner and Holly (Engler) Grandchildren: Connor, Sophia, and Ethan Prokos, Natasha (Gamet) Jones, Nolan Gamet, Quinn Tyson and Carly(Tyson) and Tyler Collins. Great Grandchild: Parker Joy Collins. Nieces and Nephews: Shannon Depew-Marcussen, Mark and Dennis Sierko, Stacy Setlak, Lisa McGuiggen, Cathy Link, Jeff Link, Alec Sierko. Preceding Skip in death: Father and Mother, Russell and Leone Wagner, Brother Jerry Degeer, Nephew Scott Sierko, Nieces Laura Ireland, Carrie Degeer, and Micky Sadlowski.
The family has honored Skip’s wish and cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial for him at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
