Laura Schwab

Laura F. (Thompson) Schwab of Millington passed away Sunday October 4, 2015 at her sons residence, Laura was 61.

Laura was born on April 5, 1954 in Michigan City, Indiana and was the daughter Lorne and Carol (Hense) Thompson. Laura was employed for 34 years with the United States Postal Service. She was also an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Laura leaves; her son and daughter in-law Clint and wife Sarah Schwab, granddaughters Erin and Brianna Schwab. Surviving Laura also is her father; Mr. Lorne Thompson, a sister and brother in-law; Caralee and husband Mark Weber, a nephew Sean, nieces Tenille, Rihanna, Hannah, and Hailey. Also surviving is her extended family Van and Suzan Ramey and family, Jon Allen and Family, Michael Allen and family, and the Schwab Families. She leaves also her sisters in Christ; Velva, Elaine, Tammy, Cheri, who have been a blessing to her, church family, and cancer survivors group. She is preceded in death by, son Peter Jon Schwab, her mother Carol Allen, step-dad Joe Allen, grandparents Conrad and Thelma Hence, Lafayette and Elsie Thompson, great aunt and uncles, Martha Crampton, Harry, Wallace and George Crampton .

The family will receive friends at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington, MI on Wednesday Oct. 7, 2015 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Thursday at St. Paul Lutheran Church from 12:000 pm until services begin. Funeral services will be held at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Millington, MI on Thursday Oct. 8, 2015 at 1:00 pm. The burial will follow at the Millington Township Cemetery. Memorial Gifts of Remembrance can be directed to the St. Paul Lutheran Church.
