Larry L. Bader

Mr. Larry Lee Bader, age 79, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Larry was born on March 9, 1945, in Saginaw, Michigan the youngest child to George & Helen Bader (née Bruisee). He was raised alongside his siblings and grew up in Vassar and graduated from Vassar High School with the class of 1963. He met the former Jacky A. Stacer and they were united in marriage in 1964. Together they celebrated 60 years of marriage, shared countless memories, and raised their children. Larry retired from Delphi as a skilled tradesman & electrician. He enjoyed trips to the casino, his dogs, and cheering on the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions. Above all, Larry loved his family and being a grandfather to his grandchildren.

Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Jacky Bader; children: Jim, Jeff, and Andy (Andrea); grandchildren: Jack (Dakotah), Claire (DeAundre), Layne, Xander, Abby; many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends; as well as his beloved dog, Teddy.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Bud, Bob, and Richard; and sisters: Marian, Clarice, Ilene, and Bernice.

Larry’s family will welcome visitors to Hanlin Funeral Home in Vassar from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 22, 2024. A time of sharing and reflection will begin at 2 p.m. Please bring yourself and great memory to share.
