Kathy (Kate) Garwood

Kathy (Kate) Garwood passed away on January 30, 2021. She was 71.

Kate was born on November 3, 1949 to the late George and Alma Louise Jackson. Kate was married to the late Jackson Garwood. She was a dedicated waitress at McPhersons Family Restaurant for 22 years. There she made many friends. Kate could always be found doing her favorite things, shopping or going to the casino, as well as hanging out with her friends and dinning at restaurants. Most of all Kate enjoyed spending time with her family who will dearly miss her.

Kates memory will forever be cherished by daughter; Wyndi Morrison. Her three grandsons; Matthew (Kayla), Spencer (Miranda), and Noah. Her four great-grandchildren; Jace, Hayden, Tristen, and Hazel. Brother Scott Verdrody, and sister Kyle Weichenthal., brother-in-law Dennis Glutz and wife Kendra. Several nieces’ nephews and extended family. As well as special friends Ruby, Karla, and her McPherson Restaurant family. Besides her parents Kate is preceded in death by her husband Jackson and her beloved dog Tuffy.

Kate will be entombed at Flint Memorial Park on Friday, February 5, 2021 with a private family ceremony.
