Justin L. Steffey

Mr. Justin Lee Steffey, age 39, our loving, friendly, fun, and caring son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend passed away on March 11, 2025.

Justin was born in Wyandotte, Michigan to George Steffey and Shawn Maynard. He was raised in Dearborn Heights and moved to Vassar in 2019. Justin was the manager of Vassar McDonald’s. He loved his work and his work crew and made numerous friends with coworkers and customers. He was an avid fan of professional wrestling, dirt track racing, NASCAR and video games. When he wasn’t busy he liked to spend time at the lake and with his family. Justin was a people person and a friend to many and will be deeply missed.

He is forever loved by his mother, Shawn Maynard; brothers: Jason (Casi) Maronen, Wes (Tammy) Steffey, Steve (Hillary) Steffey, and Gary Steffey; many uncles and Aunt Kris; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Steffey, and all his grandparents.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Justin’s life will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the Vassar Eagles.
