Jerry Hanlin

A private memorial gathering for Jerry M. Hanlin was held at Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington, Michigan on February 20, 2015 followed by cremation. Jerry's death occurred February 14, 2015. Jerry was 51 years of age.

Mourning Jerry's death are Brenda Green and family, father Jerry W. Hanlin, brothers Jeff, Bill and Jim Hanlin, nephew Spencer Hanlin, sister in-law Tami (Bill) Hanlin, niece Madeline Hanlin and her mother Sandi Muska, aunt Betty Hanlin Jolly, uncle Jarvis Hanlin and many Hastings and Hanlin cousins. Jerry is preceded in death by his mother Marion Hastings Hanlin, close aunts Ardie Hanlin and Betty Hastings Morgan, maternal grandparents Shirley and Ruth Hastings and paternal grandparents Bill and Florence Hanlin.

Jerry will be fondly remembered for being a mixture of his Dad's confidence and humor, his Mother's brains and his own devilish good looks. Jerry never met a stranger and will be missed by a large circle of friends.

Special thanks from the Hanlin Family to Elaine Bickel whose leading of the gathering eased the lose of Jerry for all in attendance. Elaine focused on the duty of the living to cherish Jerry's memory but to blamelessly learn from his death.

Gifts of remembrance can be directed to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation in Jerry's memory in honor of his mother Marion Hastings Hanlin and aunt Betty Hastings Morgan who both suffered from this rare disease or to a charity of your choice.

Homing

There is a peace that comes at close of day

Muting of light, a coolness in the air,

A softening of the clamor and the blare

Steps are less hurried. Eyes have time to stray
