Jeremy Hopkins

FLINT, formerly of MILLINGTON – Jeremy Ross Hopkins, age 39, our charismatic, positive, intelligent, and loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, boyfriend, and friend, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022.

Jeremy was born in Flint, Michigan, on January 15, 1983, to the late Ross Hopkins and Chrystal (Martin) Work. Jeremy graduated from Kearsely High School with the Class of 2001. Jeremy was a passionate reader, his favorite novel being Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird, an avid fan of Jeopardy!, listening to NPR, and listening to his extensive, eclectic collection of music. Above all, Jeremy's greatest joy was being devoted to and spending time with his family and friends. Jeremy will be lovingly remembered as a fun and a joyful person to be around. Our quick-witted, well-liked friend will be missed dearly.

Jeremy is forever loved by his mom Chrystal Work and his family: stepdad Jim Work; stepmoms Margaret and Sharon; girlfriend of seven years, Sarah; two sisters, Lisa (Ben) Ewald, and Tracy Congdon; stepbrother, Bill Labelle; three stepsisters: Laura, Della, and Valerie; eleven nieces and nephews: Ashlynn, Madelynn, Brooklynn, Molly, Colt, Cassi, Lukas, Damian, Anthony, Frankie, and Charlie; special cousins Tom Jr., Mark, Darrel, Joe, Josh, Nikki, and Sara; as well as two great nieces, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his dad, Ross Hopkins; stepbrother, Shaun LaBelle; nephew, Jacob Hopkins; grandparents, Ted and Betty Hopkins, and Dick and Eleanore Martin; uncle, Mark Martin, uncle, Tim Hopkins; and aunt, Jill Hopkins.

The family would like to invite you to Richfield Church of the Nazarene (7524 E. Mt. Morris Rd, Otisville, MI 48463) on Friday, March 11, 2022, for a time of visiting from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Funeral services to celebrate Jeremy's life will begin at 1:00 p.m.
