Jeanette Chapin

Jeanette Chapin of Holland, MI formerly of Millington, MI passed away late Saturday afternoon April 3, 2021 at the age of 57.

Friends may call at the Millington United Methodist Church in Millington, MI on Thursday from 10:00 am until services begin. Funeral service will be held on Thursday April 8, 2021 beginning at 11:00 am, at the Millington United Methodist Church with the burial to follow at the Millington Township Cemetery. Memorial gifts of remembrance can be directed to Benjamin's Hope. Envelopes will be available at the visitation. Jeanette was the daughter of Dr. & Mrs. Maurice & Dorothy Chapin and the late Beverly (Gould) Chapin. She was born on April 9, 1963 in Detroit, MI and adopted by the Chapin family when she was 8 months old. Jeanette attended Millington Public Schools and later Highland Pines School in Caro, MI where she graduated in 1988. She found great joy in time spent with all animals, but horses were her favorite. She invested many years learning how to care for and ride horses, becoming a skilled equestrian. As an adult, she lived and worked in Mount Pleasant, and later Holland. Wherever she lived, her church was an important regular activity and she rarely missed a Sunday. She was well known for her wonderful hugs, at church and wherever she was.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her mother Beverly (Gould) Chapin. She leaves her parents, Dr. & Mrs. Maurice & Dorothy Chapin. She also leaves her siblings; Irene (Bob) Wise, Norm & (Karen) Chapin, Jim (Pam) Chapin, Dan (Ronda) Chapin and Kim (Matt) Campbell as well as several nieces, nephews & extended family.
