Jane Klein

Jane Josephine Klein (Withers) of Vassar, Michigan went home to the Lord on Friday, February 14, 2020 at the age of 79. Our beloved mother passed away at Covenant Health Care in Saginaw, Michigan surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born on Thursday, October 10, 1940 to Edith (Lee) and Joseph Withers. She married Joseph Klein in 1960, together they celebrated their three daughters. Jane enjoyed spending summer days at her pond with family. She also enjoyed cooking, reading, and going on day trips to the casino with family and friends. Jane’s one true passion in life were her children, grandchildren, friends and family. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, stubbornness, selflessness, and loyalty to the ones she loved. As well as her “sunny” disposition in the mornings - before her many cups of coffee! Jane was “Mom” and “Grandma” to many of her children’s and grandchildren’s friends. Her door was always open to anyone in need.

She is survived by her three daughters Sandra Curtis (Dennis McMann), Deanna (Michael) Long, and Penny Jewell.  She was also “Mom” to Lourie (Moss) Morgan. Grandma to five grandsons: John Curtis, Matthew Lomprey, Shane Lomprey, Austin Jewell, and Deven Jewell; three granddaughters: Amanda (Tony) Pattee, Kayla Vatter, and Cheyenne (Justin) Williams; and step-granddaughters, Jennifer and Mariah.  Great-grandmother to 15: Tasia, Caliana, Jayna, Anna, Irelynn, Emily, Briar, Lexi, Christopher, Addison, Eli and Donna, Robert, Colton and Dakota. One great-great-grandson Christopher. Sister Pauline Anthony, sister-in-law Alma “Dolly” Withers, brothers Wayne (Connie) Withers, Lloyd (Millie) Withers. Fond aunt to many nieces and nephews and special friends Dawn Redmond and Darell McRae.  Jane also had a special relationship with her niece and name sake Connie Jane Fall. They were like two peas in a pod!

Jane is preceded in death by her parents, sister Delores Hoover, brothers William (the late Patricia) Withers, Leon Withers, and Raymond Withers.

The family would like to invite family and friends to Hanlin Funeral Home on Sunday, February 16, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services celebrating Jane’s life will follow at Hanlin Funeral Home on Monday, February 17, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with additional visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m.
