James (Jim) Wilson

Mr. James (Jim) Cameron Wilson of Vassar, Michigan passed away early Sunday morning November 4, 2018 at the age of 78.

Jim was born in Bay City, Michigan on July 21, 1940 and was the son of the late James Alexander and Thelma (McNiven) Wilson. After high school, Jim served our country in the US-Army at the tail end of the Korean War. On November 3, 1962 Jim married Miss Donna Perry, and together they have celebrated 56 years of marriage. Jim retired in 1987 from the Chevy Engine Plant after 30 years with General Motors. He also served his City of Vassar with 39 years on the Police Department.

Jim leaves his wife Donna and three children; Cameron (Debbie) Wilson, Todd Wilson, and Christine (Jim) Shoens, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and his sister, Margaret Miller.

The family has honored Jim’s wish and cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of his life at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington, Michigan on Tuesday November 13, 2018 with visitation beginning at 12:00 pm and the memorial service beginning at 1:00pm. The burial of Jim's urn will be a private service held at a later time and date.
