Howard Hergenreder

Mr. Howard G. Hergenreder of Millington passed away at home on Saturday, October 23, 2021. He was 81 years old.

Howard was born March 30, 1940 in Caro, MI to the late Andrew and Helen (Witkovsky) Hergenreder. He graduated from Caro High School. In November of 1961, he married the late Marie M. (McTaggart) Baker. Howard was a lifelong member at St. Paul Lutheran Church. He worked many years for the Michigan Carpenter's Union. Howard loved the simple things in life. Some of his favorite hobbies included hunting, gardening, yard work, building, and watching the Detroit Tigers. Howard loved to spend time with his family and friends. He will be forever loved and missed by so many.

Howard is survived by his five children: Steve (Yvonne) Baker, SueAnn (David) Zornes, Gene Hergenreder, Kathy (Steve) Schwab, and Deann (Gary) Oliver; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two brothers: James (Lorraine) Hergenreder and Richard (Martha) Hergenreder; special friend Carolyn Walker; and extended family and friends.  Besides his parents and wife, Howard was preceded in death by brothers, Floyd and Melvin Hergenreder, and grandchildren, Stefanie Baker and Adam Hergenreder.

Visitation will be held at Hanlin Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 beginning at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Millington, MI. Burial will follow at the Millington Twp. Cemetery.
