Henry Gouine Jr.

Mr. Henry A. Gouine Jr. a long time Millington resident passed away late Saturday evening May 26, 2018 at the McLaren Bay Special Care Hospital in Bay City, MI. Henry was 74.

Henry was born on September 1, 1943 in Caro, Michigan and was the son of the late Henry A. and Ila (Riness) Gouine Sr. Henry was retired from the Grede Foundry (formerly the Eaton Foundry) of Vassar, MI.  On June 5, 1999 Henry married Linda Roose, and together they have celebrated 18 years of marriage. Henry loved spending time with family and friends.

Henry leaves his wife Linda. He leaves also his children; Fred Gouine, Hannah (Todd) Smith, Tony Gouine, and Hank Gouine. Henry leaves also five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Henry leaves a brother and sister in-law; Jerry (Genevieve) Gouine, two sisters and a brother in-law; Sally (Gary) Ulshafer, and Bonnie Finney, he leaves also nieces, nephews and extended family. Besides his parents, Henry is also preceded in death by his previous wife, Wanda who passed away in 1996.

The family has honored Henry’s request and cremation has taken place. A celebration of Henry’s life will be held on Saturday June 23, 2018 from 12:00 pm until 5:00 pm at the Gouine residence.
