Harold Van Zandt

Mr. Harold Van Zandt of Millington, MI passed away Saturday December 18, 2021, at the age of 86.

Harold was born on September 7, 1935, in Rose City, MI and was the son of the late Charles and Rose (Lear) Van Zandt. On September 17, 1954, Harold married Miss Phyllis Hock and together they celebrated 66 years of marriage before Phyllis passed away in July of 2021. Harold retired from General Motors Buick Division. Harold loved his cars from toy cars to buying real cars. He enjoyed being up north at his cabin, playing cards with dear friends, snowmobiling and of course his old tv westerns. Harold will be deeply missed.

Harold leaves his children; Joseph (Linda) Van Zandt, Patricia Van Zandt, Pamela Kelly, and Debbie Phelps, he also leaves six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and his sisters; Lilly Gasman, and Teresa (Gary) Spivey, and brother, Bill Van Zandt. Special Friends Larry and Judy, Lesa Youngren and her son Nick Loomis. As well as several extended family and friends.

Besides his parents and wife Phyllis he was preceded by several brothers and sisters.

The Van Zandt Family will receive friends at the Hanlin Funeral Home on Monday, December 27, 2021 starting at 12:00 p.m. for visitation until the time of the funeral at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association or to a charity of your choice.
