Gary Swackhamer

Gary L. Swackhamer of Millington MI passed away suddenly Wednesday October 5, 2022, at the age of 56.

Gary was the son of Rick Sentell, and Mary Swackhamer, and was born on January 10, 1966, in Flint Michigan. Gary grew up in Millington, MI and graduated from Millington High School Class of 1984, while in high school Gary played football and earned a scholarship to play football for Northwestern University. After college Gary was employed for several years with Nash-Finch (Super Foods) warehouse.

As a favorite hobby, you would find him with his metal detector searching for treasure. He loved a good story and never hesitated to stop to tell one. Gary had a special fondness for cats. He was a self-proclaimed "World's Best Landscaping Technician" taking great pride in his lawn maintenance.

Gary leaves his family and friends to cherish his memory. The family has honored Gary’s request and cremation has taken place.  On Saturday October 22, 2022, beginning at 2:00 pm there will be a memorial gathering at the LaVilla Restaurant at 8372 N. Saginaw Rd Mt. Morris, MI 48458. Please come and share in the celebration of Gary’s life.
