Gary Johnson

Gary J. Johnson of Millington, Michigan passed away Monday afternoon July 15, 2019 at the age of 59.

Gary was born in Flint, Michigan on May 26, 1960 and was the son of Donald and Betty (Layer) Johnson. Gary grew up in Millington on the family farm and graduated from Millington High School in 1978. After graduation Gary worked at various small factories a as a machinist specializing in the CNC machines. He also worked the family farm until his health wouldn’t allow him to continue.

Gary leaves to cherish his memory his children, Alex (Erica) Johnson, Adam Johnson, and Joseph Johnson. Gary leaves his grandchildren, Joseph and Ronald Germain, Eden and Eli Johnson.  Gary also leaves his mother Mrs. Betty Johnson and his siblings; Dale Johnson, Bruce (Linda)Johnson, and Patty Morgan. Gary also leaves nieces, nephews, extended and friends. Gary is preceded in death by his father Donald Johnson, and a son Evan Johnson both in 1998.

The Johnson family will receive friends on Thursday July 18, 2019 at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington, Michigan from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm and for a brief time on Friday at the St. Paul Lutheran Church where Gary will lie in state from 10:00 am until the funeral begin. Funeral services for Gary will be held on Friday July 19,2019 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Millington, Michigan beginning at 11:00 am. The burial will follow at the Millington Twp. Cemetery in Millington. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts of remembrance may be directed to the St. Paul Lutheran Church.
