Edna M. Martin

Edna was born in Flint on August 1, 1941, to parents Edward & Helen (Burgess) Tabit and twin sister to her brother Eddie. She grew up alongside her eight siblings in Beecher and moved to Millington in 1970. She retired from AC Spark Plug after 36 years of service. Edna was an accomplished seamstress and quilter; she made many beautiful quilts. Further, she loved watching the hummingbirds and cardinals come to her bird feeder. Edna was a woman of faith and very active in her church, Millington Church of God. She would often help with church activities and luncheons. Above all, Edna loved her family deeply.

She is survived by her children: Paul Henshaw, Mark (Mady) Henshaw, Kimberly (Kevin) Orr, Tammy Martin, and Marcia Martin; grandchildren: Evan (Dylan) Oslund, Ethan (Kallie) Oslund, Emelia (Ruben) Oslund, Erik, Elijah, Malissa, Mark, Mona, Mike, Jalyn (Alex), Kaylee (Nathan), Ember (Corey), Ella (Dylan), and Chris; great-grandchildren: Rose, Selena, Sabastian, Trey, Lilah, Violet, Jeremiah, Ryett, Paisley, Isabella, Timothy, Darien, Landree, Jaiden, Liberty, Isabella, Brionna, Gabe, Emma, Payton, Jaxon, Maleigha, and Kimberly; sisters: Judy, Nancy, Marie, Mary, Patsy, and Linda.

Edna is preceded in death by her parents, Edward & Helen; and brothers, Eddie and Michael.

Edna’s family will welcome guests to Millington Church of God on Wednesday, May 17^th, 2023, from 2-7 p.m. and again on Thursday, May 18^th, 2023, from 10 a.m. until the time of Edna’s 11 a.m. funeral service. Immediately following, Edna will be laid to rest in Flint Memorial Park.
