Earl Hergenreder

Mr. Earl W. Hergenreder of Millington, MI passed away early Saturday morning, March 20, 2021, with his family at his side at the age of 82.

Earl was born in Caro, Michigan, on October 16, 1938, the son of the late John and the late Senaith (Gilbert) Hergenreder. He graduated from Caro High school, and following his education, Earl served our country with the US-Army.  On August 12, 1967, Earl married the love of his life, Ms. Barbra Reed, and together they celebrated 37 years of marriage before Barb passed away in July of 2004.

Earl retired from the Parts Division of General Motors after 31 years of service. After Earl retired, he spent several years working with the Millington Public School system in the maintenance department. In his free time, Earl loved to travel with his wife and family. He was an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions, Detroit Redwings, the U of M teams, and our Millington Cardinals. He treasured spending time with family and friends, at home or maybe at the coffee shop.

Those left to carry on Earl's legacy include his two daughters, Rhonda (Craig) Clark and Marie (Kyle) Fisher; four grandchildren: Kyle, Cheyenne, Kelsy, and Miah; great-grandchild, Symone; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Besides his wife and parents, Earl is also preceded in death by his siblings.

Friends may call at the Hanlin Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 23, 2021, where the family will greet friends from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Earl's funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Millington [there will be no visitation at the church prior to services beginning]. Afterwards, Earl will be laid to rest within Millington Township Cemetery.
