Dustin D. Esterline

Dustin Drew Esterline, age 17, our loving, strong, talented son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, teammate, and friend passed away on March 6, 2025.

Dustin was born in Saginaw, Michigan on June 7, 2007, to parents Nathaniel Esterline and Crystal Childs. He was the proud big brother of Aubrey Childs and Tanner Childs. Dustin was in his senior year at Millington High School and a part of the football, powerlifting, and wrestling teams. He proudly ended his football career as a 2nd-team all-conference lineman and 2024 State Champion, wearing #79. Dustin was a leader, always stood up for the little guy, and put others before himself. He found the good in everyone and was an excellent motivator. He put a smile on everyone’s face and will be remembered as a kind, funny, and loving person. He enjoyed welding and using his talents to make thoughtful gifts for those close to him. Dustin liked the outdoors, riding dirt bikes, off roading with Jeeps, car audio, knife making, and sports. Above all, Dustin loved his family and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

He is forever loved by his parents, Crystal (Tyler) Childs and Nathaniel (Kayla) Esterline; siblings, Aubrey and Tanner Childs; many aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins; girlfriend, Abby Wagner; as well as a loving community of football teammates, coaches, especially Coach Slough, teachers, peers, and many friends, including Caleb Lang and Nathaniel Oakwood.

A memorial service to celebrate Dustin's life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the Millington Church of God; visiting time will begin at 10:00 a.m. and last until the time of service.

Memorial gifts in Dustin’s honor may be directed to the family discretionary fund in c/o Mrs. Taylor Dantinne.
