Dorothy Louise Martini of Vassar, Michigan, passed from our world into her heavenly home early Monday morning, December 23, 2024, at the age of 83.
Dorothy Revesz, the daughter of the late Frank and Iris (Barnes) Revesz, was born in Milford, Michigan, on June 22, 1941. Dorothy always had the warmest of smiles. She loved her family and her Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a Resident Care Aide at the Caro Center starting in 1961 and retiring in 1985. Her favorite things to do were oil painting, baking, crocheting, and tending to her flower gardens. Dorothy took great pride in her hometown of Vassar. She was an active member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Vassar, having taught Sunday School for many years. She was also active with the Vassar Historic Society. Dorothy enjoyed organizing many Vassar High School Class of 1959 reunions. Her real pride and joy in life was her family.
Dorothy leaves to cherish her memory her children Brian (Shawndel) Hecht, Mike (Kristen) Hecht, Amy (Scott) Kutsch and Dawn (Mark) Silva. Six grandchildren, Taylor (Matt) Hawley, Aaron Hecht, Shayna Hecht, Michael Hecht, Madison Kutsch and Andrew Kutsch. She also has five great-grandchildren Henry, Lucy, Millie, Penelope Hawley, and Bella Kutsch. She also leaves a brother, Richard Revesz, three sisters, Joan (Jim) Garrett, Leah Bassett, and Iris Rodak, and several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Besides her parents, Dorothy is also preceded in death by her late husband, Mickey Bolen, and two brothers, Frank Revesz Sr. and Daniel Revesz. The family thanks Dr. Jondy for his many years of caring for Mom.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, December 27, 2024, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Vassar, MI [1148 W. Saginaw Rd]. There will also be a brief visitation on Saturday morning from 10:00 am until the time of services at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Vassar, MI, where Dorothy will lie in-state. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am Saturday, December 28, 2024, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, with Pastor Matthew Arnold delivering the funeral message and prayers of committal at Riverside Cemetery, Vassar, MI. Memorial Gifts of Remembrance can be directed to St. Luke’s Lutheran Church of Vassar.
