Doris Gardner

Mrs. Doris (Dittmar) Gardner of Millington, MI passed away Sunday morning December 23, 2018, at the age of 89.

Doris was born in Arbela Township and was the daughter of the late Hugo and Lydia (Block) Dittmar. Doris was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to many. She was a hard worker and maintained a healthy and positive attitude throughout her illness. She will be missed by all her family and friends.

Doris leaves her family to cherish her memory. Her children; William (Darlene) Gardner Jr., Robert (Denise) Gardner, Linda Young, and Dave (Ronda Willsher) Gardner. She also has 11 grandchildren, as well as several great and great-great grandchildren, and a special friend of the family; Wendy Wheeler. She also leaves two sisters; Marion Toyzan, and Arlene Chambers, and several nieces nephews and extended family. Besides her parents Doris is preceded in death by her husband Bill.

The Gardner family will receive family and friends at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington, MI on Friday December 28, 2018 from 3:00pm until 7:00pm, and at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Millington, MI on Saturday December 29 from 10:00 AM until the start of the funeral service at 11:00 AM.   Burial will follow at Millington Twp. Cemetery directly after the service. Memorial Gifts can be made in her memory to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
