Donna (Shamel) Dean

Donna M. Dean passed peacefully on May/28/2019. Born in Millington, MI January/12/1933 to George (Roy) Shamel and Ida (Manwaring) Shamel, Donna was part of the 1949 Tuscola County Champion Cardinal Softball team and graduated Millington High School in 1951. She married Alden Dean in 1953, and they moved back to her family’s farm in Millington to raise their family. Donna was preceded in death by Alden, two of their daughters, Marlene Dean and Carol Clemons, her siblings Ronald (Tuffy), Wayne, Royce, Albert, Beatrice Shamel, and Betty Collins. She is survived by her brother George (Edith) Shamel—Flint, MI; daughter Linda Osterman—Millington, granddaughters Amanda Clemons—Manistee, MI; Kelly (Thomas) Stacey—Clio, MI; Shianne (David) Gutzwiller—Bay City, MI and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Donna will be remembered by her friends and family as a wonderful hostess, amazing cook, and as the official Sauerkraut Party kraut taster.

Memorial Services for Donna will be held Monday, June 3, 2019 11:00 am at St. Francis Xavier church in Otisville, MI [212 Center Street Otisville, MI] with lunch to follow.
