Diana Lee (Daniels) Doyle

Mrs. Diana Lee Doyle, 86, our kind, giving, honest, and nurturing mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully on the morning of Friday, May 13th, 2022, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Diana Lee Daniels was born on July 15th, 1935, in Flint, MI to Hershel and Lillie (Taylor) Daniels. On August 6th, 1955, Diana married the love of her life Eugene Doyle. Together they shared 61 wonderful years of marriage, before his passing on December 24th, 2016. Diana was passionate about education and in her working years oversaw the janitorial services of Glaza Elementary School. Further, she volunteered at Lakeville Elementary Schools and was involved in many other activities and events. She also enjoyed bingo, bird watching, reading author Daniel Steel, and watching the Hallmark Channel. She was an avid board game player, played a great game of euchre, liked trips to the casino, playing scratch-off tickets and pull tabs.

Diana is survived by her children: Doug Doyle, Cindy Thorington, Carla Doyle, Tracey Doyle, Teresa (Bobby) Hill, and Timothy Freese; grandchildren: Dan Thorington, Cyrena (James) Clark, Caleb Hill, and Ray Thorington; great grandson, R.J. Thorington; sister, Mary Chappelle; best friend, Diane Slough; nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Welcoming Diana home to heaven are her husband, Eugene; parents, Hershel and Lillie; and four siblings.

The family will welcome guests to Hanlin Funeral Home (4823 Main St., Millington, MI 48746) on Sunday, May 15th, 2022, from 2-7 p.m. Services to celebrate Diana’s life will follow at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 16th, 2022, at Hanlin Funeral Home. Additional visitation from 12 p.m. until the time of service. Following, Diana will be laid to rest next to her husband Eugene, in Rich Township Cemetery, Mayville, MI.
