Dennis D. Dipzinski of Millington, Michigan passed away Saturday morning October 27, 2018, Dennis was 87.
Dennis was born in Flint, Michigan on October 26, 1931 and was the son of the late Antony & Helen (Borowiak) Dipzinski. Dennis graduated from Davison High School in 1950. As a youngster Dennis attended the Kitchen School; and was always very proud of that little country school on the corner of Atherton and M-15. After high school; Dennis served a tour in the US- Navy during the Korean War on the Naval Destroyer the USS- Reamy. He was especially proud of doing the; “around the world tour” during his time in the navy. On November 3, 1956 Dennis married Miss Donna Smith, he and Donna have celebrated 61 years of marriage. Dennis retired from the Buick Motor Division of General Motors after 44 years as a machine repairman. Dennis loved playing cards, old movies, cutting and taking care of his lawn, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. Dennis was a was a past member of the former St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Millington, Michigan, a church he loved serving.
Dennis leaves his family. Wife; Donna. His children; Cindy (James) Weber, Sue Bonetti, Steve (Greta) Dipzinski, David Dipzinski, and Chris (Carrie) Dipzinski. He leaves also 14 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. His siblings; three sisters, Florence Crossen, Maxine Thompson, Delores (Cliff) Gauthier, two brothers; Robert Dipzinski, Ted (Betty) Dipzinski, and a sister in-law, Kathy Dipzinski. He leaves also; several nieces, nephews, and extended family. Besides his parents Dennis is preceded in death by a daughter Judy McCurdy in 1993. Three brothers; Casmer, Joseph (Dick) and Gerald Dipzinski. His in-laws; Ed Crossen, Carole Dipzinski, Beverly Dipzinski, Everette Thomas, Ron Smith and Delana and Bob Hourtienne
The Dipzinski family will receive friends at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington, Michigan on Tuesday October 30, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 7:00pm. Dennis will lie in state at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (404 N. Dayton St. Davison, Michigan 48423) on Wednesday from 12:00 pm until the funeral mass begins. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated beginning at 1:00 pm. In keeping with Dennis’s wishes, cremation will follow. A private burial of his urn with Military honors will take place at a later date. If you wish to give a Memorial gift of remembrance, the family has asked that you consider the National Alliance of Mental Health.
