Dennis N. DeOrnellas of Millington passed suddenly at his residence on Sunday June 8, 2014, Dennis was 65.
Dennis was born in Flint, Michigan on October 10, of 1948, and was the son of the late Noele & Doris (Saeger) DeOrnellas. Dennis was a graduate of Millington High School class of 1966. On September 20, of 1975 Dennis married Betty Petz, and Betty and Dennis have celebrated 38 years of marriage. Dennis retired in 2007 from General Motors-Delphi of Saginaw after 41 years of employment. Dennis was a proud member of the NRA, he loved hunting, fishing, the Michigan Wolverines, the mighty Millington Cardinals, but, his passion in life was his family and serving his church. Dennis was a life time member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where he served on many boards and committees'.
Dennis leaves to cherish his memory; wife Betty, children, Amanda DeOrnellas, Melissa DeOrnellas & her fiancée Jonathan Adams, Katie & husband Tom Horenziak, Daniel DeOrnellas, Anthony DeOrnellas & his fiancée Valerie Forsyth, Kathryn DeOrnellas, and Danielle DeOrnellas, six grandchildren; Emily DeOrnellas, Sawyer Keinath, Ashley Wisenboch, Regan Wisenboch, Ian Horenziak, and Derek Horenziak. Dennis leaves also two sisters, Cheryl Roeske, and Lisa DeOrnellas, as well as several nieces, nephews, god children, extended family and many friends. Besides his parents Dennis is also preceded in death by two brothers, Randy and Ralph DeOrnellas, a brother in-law Jim Roeske, and his mother and father in-law Elmer & Isabelle Petz.

Funeral services were held on Thursday June 12, 2014 at St. Paul Lutheran Church; Pastor James Bruner delivered the funeral message and the prayers of committal at the cemetery. Burial followed at the Millington Township Cemetery. Memorial gifts of remembrance can be directed to the St. Paul Building Fund.
