Deanna K. (Humphreys) Church of Otter Lake and Millington, Michigan, passed away Tuesday October 29, 2019 at the age of 61.
Deanna was born in Flint, Michigan, on August 26, 1958, and is the daughter of Marilyn (Ray) Louks and Donald (Linda) Humphreys. Growing up, Deanna graduated from Millington High School, and furthered her education with the completion of a bachelor’s degree. On January 17, 2009 Deanna married David Church.
As Deanna's body grew weaker over the years her will, faith, capacity to love, inspire and cherish each moment grew stronger. She made each moment special pouring her all into the hearts, minds and imaginations of those she loved. Her children, family, dog Daisy and God were her everything. She lived to serve others and her neighbors as God's children and as her children. She loved everything and everyone so much.
Her acts of kindness span a lifetime from inviting church members without families of their own to our family thanksgivings to giving every extra thing that she had to her family and her community.
Deanna loved to cook, was a gifted artist, writer, and seamstress and was passionate about teaching others to find their inner creative skills and faith. She loved yard sales and thrift shopping to find treasures for her vintage store collection on ebay or to give away. The treasures she collected on earth pales in comparison to the treasure she has received from our King and redeemer in Heaven.
Deanna leaves her husband David to cherish her memory. She leaves also her children; Kirk (Kristine) Licavoli, Catherine (Stefan) Wanczyk-Licavoli, Tommy (Mary) Licavoli, and Johanna (Jay) Duhon, a brother Robert Humphreys, and a sister Rosie (Tom) Socha. She leaves her six grandchildren,12 step grandchildren, her parents; Marilyn (Ray) Louks, and Donald (Linda) Humphreys. Deanna leaves also her five stepchildren; Elizabeth (Dan) Simmons, Jennifer (Bill) Lavirick, Dorothy (Jay) Gouine, Nicholas (Liz) Church, and Andrew (Krista) Church; nieces, nephews and other extended family. Deanna is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jazamine.
