Dawn was born in Flint, Michigan on April 19, 1966 to the late Dennis and Donna (Dart) Hill. She grew up in Clio and Millington, graduating from Millington High School in 1984. Dawn had many types of jobs over her life, ranging from retail to construction management, but was most recently an in-home care manager for many years. Dawn loved people, was always there for them, and tried to make them as happy as she could.
Dawn traveled from coast to coast later in life, enjoying walks on the beach looking for heart-shaped coral and attending Lukas Nelson concerts. She was proud of her Ojibwe heritage and was very moved by her trip to the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, DC.
Dawn leaves behind her husband, Don Wellington, her sons Chase Hampton and Brayton Paquette, and their beloved spouses, Brian and Maria. She also leaves behind her beloved step-children, step-grandchildren, sisters, brothers, aunts, an uncle, numerous cousins and too many friends to count.
In keeping with Dawn's request, cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of her life on Saturday, May 18, 2024, beginning at 11 am at the Millington United Methodist Church, with a fellowship lunch and remembrance time to follow.
