David Northern Sr.

David Northern Sr. of Millington, MI went home to be with the Lord on December 12, 2018 and he was 92 years old. The family would like to offer special thanks to Heart to Heart Hospice and Lapeer County Medical Facility for the exceptional care given.

David was born in Armorel, Arkansas on October 24, 1926 to James (Jim) and Mary Northern. David was the oldest of fifteen children, he had seven brothers and seven sisters. David started working for General Motors in 1954 where he retired in 1984. David married Geartha Mae Wooldridge on November 11, 1963. He was a father to eleven children and enjoyed fishing, farming, and spending time with his family. David was an ordained minister and always had time to minister to those around him. He was preceded in death by his wife Geartha Mae, his children: Lee, Linda, and Alvin Wooldridge. He leaves to cherish his memory three sisters, one brother and his children: Theodore (Shelly) Wooldridge, David Jr. (Rhonda) Northern, Kimberly (Perry) Morrison, Joya Hudgins, Shelly (Tommy) Harper, Camilo Northern, Marty Northern, and Henry Northern. David also leaves a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews

The Northern family will receive friends on Sunday December 16, 2018 at the Millington United Methodist Church [9020 State Road/corner of M-15 and Barnes Rd.] beginning at 1:00 pm up until services begin. Funeral services celebrating David's life will begin at 3:00 pm.   A private burial will tack place at the Millington Township Cemetery on Monday. Memorial Gifts of Remembrance can be directed to a charity of ones choice.
