Constance S. Damm

Mrs. Constance “Connie” Sue Damm, age 74, our loving, kind, caring, and faithful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully on Friday, January 24, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Connie was born in Saginaw, Michigan, on May 19, 1950, to Otto & Loraine Petzold (née Daenzer). She was raised alongside her siblings and graduated from Millington High School with the class of 1968. Connie met the love of her life, Kenneth “Ken” Damm, at a dance at St. Paul Lutheran School. They were wed on November 18, 1971, and together they shared countless memories, raised their four sons, and celebrated over 53 years of marriage. 

She embraced her role as a homemaker with passion and lent her talents at Bronner's CHRISTmas Wonderland, where her beautiful penmanship adorned many holiday ornaments. A dedicated member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Connie was actively involved in the handbells for over 40 years and participated in the church choir. Connie also involved herself in the community as a member of the election board for many years. Her and Ken enjoyed wintering in Florida and making many memories there.

She is survived by her husband, Ken; sons: Steven (Julie) Damm, Ryan Damm, Evan (Leigha) Damm, and Jason Damm; grandchildren: Joseph, Cierra, Leila, Kennedy, Lilly, Rian, Kadence, Seth, Otto; brothers, David (Carrie) Petzold, and Dennis Petzold; sister, Pam (Carl) Henne; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Otto & Loraine Petzold.

Visitation will be at Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. Funeral services for Connie will be at St. Paul Lutheran Church on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at 1:00 p.m.; visitation at church will begin at 12:00 p.m. and last until the time of service. Interment to follow in Millington Township Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be directed to St. Paul Lutheran Church or to the family.
