Christopher Boyd

Christopher Allen Boyd of Vassar passed away suddenly Friday July 22, 2011 at the age of 58.

Chris was born September 9, 1952 to Bernard and Mary (Britton) Boyd. He graduated from Eastern Michigan University and made a living pursuing his passion of photo journalism and desktop publishing, winning three National Press Photography Awards. He married Pamela Gordon on January 7, 1977 and had two sons, Sam and Joe Boyd. He married Gretchen Gohsman on January 16, 2009 and shared his life with her and their two dogs, Dylan and Luther. Chris enjoyed jamming with his friends, camping, photography, debate, and good conversation - always wanting the last word.

Chris is survived by his wife Gretchen, his mother Mary, brothers Garry and David & wife Linda Boyd, his sons Sam and Joe, the dogs, several nieces, nephews, and some who lovingly referred to him as "Uncle Dude", and many other wonderful friends. Chris is preceded in death by his father Bernard, sister in-law Sally and two special friends, Vince Mogos, and Mike Carne.
