Charles Main

Mr. Charles William (Bill/Uncle Bill) Main of Mayville, Michigan passed away peacefully at home Sunday December 4, 2022, at the age of 84.

Charles was born in Saginaw, Michigan on February 25, 1938, and was the son of Charles S & Elizabeth (Nagy) Main. Charles graduated in 1956, from Vassar High School. After High School he served from 1957 to 1959 in the US-Marines. On February 25, 1961, Charles married Miss Louise K. Vat, she has preceded him in death.   Charles retired from Eaton/Grede Foundry and retired from Anderson Gravel Pit. Charles loved to garden and take care of the lawn and the lawn was always stick free. He loves hunting, fishing, especially trout fishing at the cabin on the Manistee River.

Charles leaves to cherish many memories. His children: Mike Main, Kim (Newell) Confer, Mark Main, Matt (Sue) Main.  His grandchildren; Joshua Main, Lucas Main, Jessica (John Clark) Main, Miranda Main, Matthew Miller, eight great-grandchildren, a brother Tom (Linda) Main, several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Besides his parents, and his loving wife Charles was also preceded in death by, a brother David Main, and a grandson Brandon Confer.

The Main family will receive friends on Thursday December 8, 2022, from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Vassar MI [1148 w. Saginaw Rd.] At 11:00 am Friday December 9, 2022, there will be a graveside service at the Riverside Cemetery in Vassar, MI [Cemetery is located on Frankenmuth Rd.] The Main family would like to invite friends to attend the graveside services.
