Carl Slosser

MILLINGTON – Carl D. Slosser, age 89, our kind hearted, strong willed, hard-working and honorable father, grandpa, great-grandpa, uncle, neighbor, and friend, passed peacefully into his Savior’s arms on Monday, Feb. 21, 2022.

Carl D. Slosser was born in St. Helen, Michigan, on May 3, 1932, to the late George and Mildred (Huntley) Slosser. Carl joined the Air Force where he gained his G.E.D. and served during the Korean War. Carl was united in marriage to the love of his life Nancy (Dew). Together they have four children. After the Air Force he went to work for General Motors for 30 years. Carl was a devoted usher and member at Millington Church of God for over 30 years. You could always find Carl either hunting, fishing, gardening, trapping, or woodworking. Most of all though Carl loved to spend time with his family. He will be dearly missed by so many.

Carl is forever loved by his wife, Nancy; four children: George (Cecelia) Slosser, Steve (Virginia) Slosser, Cindy (Slosser) Petzold, and Chris (Cindy) Slosser; eight grandchildren: Steve II, Laura, Kristina, Alex, Jacob, Cassie, Jenny, and Joshua; nine great-grandchildren; and sister JoAnne Furlette; and several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, seven sisters, and one brother.

The family will welcome guests to Millington Church of God (4855 Barnes Rd. Millington, MI 48746) on  Thursday, February 24, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at Millington Church of God. Pastor Greg Capsule will preside. Following, Carl will be laid to rest, in Millington Twp. Cemetery.
