Carelton (Carl) Norris Jr.

Mr. Carleton J. (Carl) Norris Jr. passed away on Saturday on August 17, 2019. He was 90.

Carleton was the son of Carleton and Murle (Larkin) Norris, and was born in Flint, MI. After graduating high school Carl proudly joined the Air force and became a parachute repairman, Carl had so much passion for the Air Force. Carl had married Katherine (Kay) Huston in October of 1955 and together they had 2 boys, Ted and Carleton (CJ). After serving his country in the Air Force during the Korean War he began working for General Motors as an experimental painter for 40years before retiring. One of Carl’s favorite hobbies was to make model planes. Carl will be dearly missed by all.

Carl leaves his two sons; Ted (Alicia) Norris and Carleton J. (CJ) and Stacy Norris III. He leaves 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He leaves brothers and sisters; Cheryl Huchert, Susan (Terry) Jones, Sally (Jack) Suttle, and Peggy (Chuck) Courneya. Carl also leaves many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Besides his parents Carl is preceded in death by: wife Katherine (Kay).

The family would like to invite family and friends for visitation at Hanlin Funeral Home on Thursday August 22, 2019 from 3:00pm to 7:00pm. A funeral service will be held at Hanlin Funeral Home on Thursday August 22, 2019 starting at 6:30pm. The family would like to invite friends at 7:00pm following the services at the Millington United Methodist Church.
