Cameron R. Johns

Cameron R. Johns our loving, caring, thoughtful, Brother and Uncle passed away early Monday morning April 17, 2023, at the age of 76. Cameron had been a resident at the Charter Senior Living in Davison at the time of his passing.  Cameron’s family wishes to convey their deep appreciation to the staff at Charter Senior Living and the staff of Promedica Hospice for the care given to Cameron.

Cameron was born in Flint, Michigan on August 14, 1946, and was the son of the late Horace (Hod) & Mildred (Millie) Johns. Cameron graduated from Millington High School in 1964.  Cameron was drafted serving in the US-Army in Vietnam from 1967 to 1969. Upon his return from his service in the Army Cameron settled in San Francisco CA where he lived until moving back to Millington in 2020. He worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs / VA Palo Alto Heath Care Systems as a Human Resource Specialist from 1985 until he retired in 2009.

Cameron was a wonderful & loving brother to his twin sister Connie (Wayne) Withers. He loved his nieces as they were very special to him and he enjoyed spending time with them; Lani Ivey (Scott) Knoch, Heather (Mark) DesRoberts, Shawn (Michael) Gohsman. He has a special place in his heart for his great nieces, and nephews; BJ Ivey (Kaylee), Brad Ivey (Alana), Julia DesRoberts, Luc DesRoberts, Griffin Gohsman, Reese Gohsman, and Cooper Gohsman. Cameron also leaves a dear friend and his caregiver while he lived in California Arnold Cu. Besides his parents Cameron is proceed in death by a brother and sister in-law, Stan & Nancy Johns.

The family has honored Cameron’s request and cremation has taken place. The burial of his urn will take place at the Millington Township Cemetery at a later date.
