Mrs. Beulah Burns, age 86, of Millington, went to be with our Lord and Savior on March 18, 2022.
Beulah was born on October 19, 1935, in Arbela Township, to Roy and Beatrice (Adams) Hunt. Beulah was a 1953 graduate of Millington High School. Less than a year later, on January 30, 1954, she married her high school sweetheart, Lyle Burns. Together they celebrated 65 years of marriage. Lyle predeceased her in 2019. They had four children: Cindy (Dave) Simon, Christy Burns, Ronald (Kim) Burns, and Amy (John) Louks. They have 10 grandchildren: Cherie (Joe) Payne, Dan (SheyLa) Burton, Adam (Tammy) Simon, Aaron (Jessica) Simon, Joshua Burns, Gus (Kassie) Burns, Nathan (Lynnzee) Burns, Zachary (Rachel) Burns, Tom (Christina) Louks, and Rebecca Grace Louks, and 26 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lyle, brothers, William Zimmerman, Raymond Hunt, Paul Hunt; sisters, Dorothy Klier, Doris Toth, Donna Lund, and Luella Ratza, Hilda Gray. Sister Margaret Gray survives her. She was also predeceased by her great grandson, Samuel Simon.
Beulah was a hardworking farm wife, wonderful mother, great cook! But most of all, she was a faithful follower of Jesus. Knowing Jesus influenced everything that Beulah said and did throughout her life. While Beulah’s family and friends will surely miss her, we are comforted by the fact that she is in Heaven with Jesus and her beloved husband Lyle, and we long for the day that we are reunited with them and all other family members and friends who have gone before them!
Beulah was a member of the Richfield Church of the Nazarene, the Cass River Camp of the Gideons International, and the Millington-Arbela Historical Society.
