Betty Ann Salisbury, a beloved member of the Millington & Brown City communities, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, July 31, 2024.

She was born Betty Ann Graves on June 29, 1933, in Sandusky, Michigan to parents John & Olive Graves (née Cornell) Betty married the love of her life, Marvin "Bud" Salisbury in 1950. Together they share countless memories, raised their children, and celebrated 39 years of marriage before Bud's passing in 1989. Betty led a fulfilling life as a dairy farmer on the family farm in Brown City, pouring her dedication and passion into the land she loved dearly. In addition to her work on the farm, she also worked 27 years with the Vlasic Pickle Factory. Betty's proudest accomplishments include her role as a leader with 4-H, where she inspired and guided numerous young minds towards success. Further, Betty was a devoted member of the United Methodist Church in Melvin. Also, she had a deep love for animals, especially dogs & cats and kept several around the farm.

Betty was known for her kindness, resilience, and boundless love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though she may no longer walk among us, Betty's legacy of hard work, compassion, and strength will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bud Salisbury; daughter, Connie Shutes; and sons-in-law, Theadore Shutes, and Ken Hoard.
