Ardel Fox

Ardel Fay Fox passed away on Friday, February 21, 2020.

Ardel was born to the late Miles and Mary Fox on May 21, 1937. Ardel was married to Ida MacDermaid on October 10, 1959. They were married for 60 years. Together they had 4 children. He served in the Army and worked for General Motors Buick Division for 35 years.  Ardel was a dedicated husband, father and friend. His interests centered on simple things including growing vegetables and beautiful dahlias, camping, traveling, and motorcycling, an interest enthusiastically adopted by his children. He was always happy to help family, neighbors, and friends whenever he could.

Ardel was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and five brothers. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Ida and four children: Jon & Gloria Fox, Fay & David Eckert, Keith &Peggy Fox, Kevin &Tracy Fox, thirteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. He is survived by his brother Gordon & Leona Fox, and his three sisters, Mary Ellen & Jerry Dellar, Lila & Abe Thompson, and Laura & Wayne Dean.

Family and friends are invited to Hanlin Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at the Pineview Mennonite Church Swaffer Road Vassar, Mi., at 11:00 am with a time of visitation before the service starting at 10:00 am. There will be a luncheon directly following the service. Donations in memory of Ardel may be made to Pineview Mennonite Church.
