Anthony W. Brewer

Mr. Anthony “Tony” William Brewer, age 45, passed away suddenly on Thursday, August 3, 2023.

Tony was born on July 11, 1978, in Flint, MI, to parents Darwin “Dar” & Susan (Brege) Brewer. He was raised alongside his sister Cathleen and graduated from Millington High School. He had worked for several years with Cascade Environmental Drilling. He met the former, Donna Jones at the Otter Lake Bowling Alley. They dated, fell in love, and were wed on November 1, 1999. Together they shared 23 years of marriage and raised their two sons, Ashtin and Devon. Tony enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing golf and cornhole. He was an avid Michigan Wolverines sports fan, as well as the Detroit Tigers & Red Wings, and the Boston Red Sox. Above all, Tony, was a family man and he loved them deeply. He will be sorely missed.

He is forever loved by his wife, Donna Brewer; sons, Ashtin (Natalie Smith) Brewer, and Devon Brewer; parents, Dar & Susan Brewer; grandmother, Germaine Brege; sister, Cathleen (Greg) Kelley; nieces, Emily, and Aidan; nephew, Gabe; brothers-in-law, Bryan (Julie) Davis, Chris (Jeannette) Davis, and LeRoy Jones; sister-in-law, Amy (Merle) Shannon; extended family; and the “Usual Suspects”, the Williams Family, Adam Salyers, Ericka Bukoski, Keri Valentine, Paul Keipinger, Mark Frisbie, Hunter Sylvester, and Tim Popham.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Herb Brege; grandparents, Everett & Florence Brewer; in-laws, Larry & Andi Davis.

Tony’s family will welcome visitors to Hanlin Funeral Home – Millington on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, from 2-6 p.m. A celebration of Tony’s life will begin at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Those attending are asked to dress comfortably and casually. Michigan Wolverine apparel is preferred…Michigan State Spartans apparel will be tolerated.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the family discretionary fund under the care of Donna Brewer, to a charity of one’s choice, or to the family of Nick Apsey.
