Abigail & Isla Lossing

Job 12:10 - In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.

Abigail Ruth Lossing, our loving, faithful, bubbly, and caring, wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023, with her soon-to-be blessing and daughter, Isla Olivia Lossing. 

Abigail “Abi” Ruth Lossing was born in Lapeer, MI on November 9, 1993, to parents Wendell & Christine (Dodds) Uhl, the fifth of seven children. Abi graduated from Juniata Christian School and Maranatha Baptist College. She worked as a health coach with Young Living Essential Oils. She wed her high-school sweetheart, Jonathon Lossing, on August 24, 2013. Together they shared over 9 years of wonderful marriage and countless memories. Abi was full of life, energy, and smiles. She was active with her church, Emmanuel Baptist in Flint; coaching volleyball in Vassar Schools and basketball at church. Further, Abi loved to garden, travel, and made friends wherever she went, giving everyone she met a nickname. Abi, loved animals, especially dogs & cats. Above all, Abi loved family and children, she was a superb aunt to her nieces and nephews. 

Abigail & Isla are forever loved by their husband and Dad, Jonathon Lossing; parents (grandparents), Wendell & Christine Uhl; father & mother in-law (grandparents), Bernard Jr. & Laurie Lossing; siblings (aunt & uncles), Machelle (Tom) Riggs, Elizabeth Myers, Samuel (Kate) Uhl, Elsie (Colin) Crumrine, and Walker Uhl; brothers-in-law (uncles), Anthony (Dyan) Lossing, Nathaniel (Brittany) Lossing, Gabriel (Emma) Lossing; grandmothers (great-grandmothers), Donna Lossing, and Suzanne Sanders; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends. 

Abigail is preceded in death by her infant brother, Keith Uhl.

Services for Abigail & Isla Lossing will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at Fostoria Baptist Church (8933 Fostoria Road, Fostoria, MI 48435). Visitation will be at church from 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family discretionary fund under the care of Jonathon Lossing.
